My journey to a greener home: eliminating all chemicals such as toxic fire retardants from your home is not an easy task. I've a sleeping bag I got a few years ago for my daughter from Pottery Barn for Kids. At the time, I was not as knowledgeable as I am now about all the chemicals going into our products. But now, I want to know what's in it and what to do with it! I called Pottery Barn and ask if the polyester filling was treated with any fire retardants. Customer service did not know, after insisting they said "it is made in China and we don't have any info"! After really insisting someone is going to call me back. Will keep you posted.

UV resistant: Bamboo fiber does have natural UV protection. According to the Suncare Research Laboratories, the UPF label rate is 15. The 100% bamboo fabric scored 18.3 on the UPF scale with 94.15% UVA block and 93.17% UVB block.

-Hypoallergenic: Bamboo's organic and natural properties make it non-irritating to a baby's sensitive skin.

-Luxuriously soft: It is often compared to silk or cashmere, but easier to clean (washer and dryer safe). The fibers won't peel, making it safer for babies.
